BCM Policy

At CosmoSteel Group, we recognise the importance of avoiding business disruptions caused by unexpected incidents and therefore are motivated to implementing Business Continuity Management (BCM).

Our Group has taken into account various issues when establishing, implementing and maintaining our BCM System (BCMS). The main objective is to ensure services to customers are not disrupted when major incidents occur.

Our Group has established, implemented, and maintains a BCMS which it is committed to continually improve upon, including the processes needed and their interactions in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 22301 International Standard.

Our Group has established a documented business continuity policy that –

  • Is appropriate to the purpose of organisation;
  • Provides a framework for setting business continuity objectives;
  • Includes a commitment to satisfy applicable requirements;
  • Includes a commitment to continual improvement of the BCMS.


Kim Seng Huat Hardware Pte Ltd (“Kim Seng Huat” or the “Company”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CosmoSteel Holdings Limited, is committed to identifying potential operational risks which threaten the Company’s business processes. By adopting a BCM system, Kim Seng Huat will build integrated mitigating procedures that will increase its resilience and ensure rapid recovery of its critical business functions. This will prepare the Company to handle adverse scenarios and safeguard the interests of its key stakeholders, reputation and brand.

In meeting this commitment, Kim Seng Huat shall comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and seek continual improvements to its BCM system.

Our Group has planned, implemented and put controls into the processes that are needed to meet its BCMS requirements, including actions required that would address the risks and opportunities related to its BCMS to ensure that it can achieve its intended BCMS outcome, preventing or reducing undesired effects and achieve continual improvement by continually improve on the suitability, adequacy or effectiveness of its BCMS through various means such as using the information from its performance evaluation, or from leadership or planning initiatives.

Testifying to our commitment to BCM, we have been awarded ISO 22301:2012 in 2015.
